Corridor Access Manager

We have created a new specialist role, to ensure Council’s requirements and responsibilities as a road controlling authority are met, and infrastructure is of suitable quality for our community.
This is a fulltime permanent position based in Marton, however travel throughout the district will be required.
He kōrero mōu | About You
You will be an experienced Corridor Access Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering corridor access services.
You’ll be a confident communicator with on-the-job experience, able to develop strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, carry out all aspects of corridor access, traffic management and road closures.
Your own self-management skills will be as important as your technical skills. You will need to be able to prioritise workloads whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships.
He aha te mahi| What you will do
- Effectively manage Corridor Access services across the district through the oversight, review, and management of requests for Road Corridor Access, Traffic Management Plans, and Road Closures
- Manage the Corridor Access activity using the Councils RAMM database (Submitica Control)
- Ensure work undertaken by Utility Operators/Owners and Contractors complies with current codes of practice and Council's special conditions and requirements
- Plan and assist in developing TTM plans in compliance with current regulations.
- Undertake inspections of permitted works and activities including Temporary Traffic Management Plans and road corridor reinstatements
- Actively manage noncompliance
- Assist with response to Service Requests and customer enquiries
Ko wai to Pukeka| What you will bring
- 5+ years proven experience in managing TTM operations in a construction or civil engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of regulations and industry standards relating to TTM and CAR processes.
- Proven contract / project management experience.
- A good general knowledge of the roading activity.
