Get ready to learn the secrets of creating great spaces, share your ideas, develop and implement your project, in just 7 days!

The 7 Day Makeover will build upon the Town Centre Plan which aims to deliver a boutique town, reuse old buildings, create new community centre and make great public spaces.

An important, part of reaching these goals is “place-making” where small, community-led projects create inviting, community-focused spaces. David Engwicht, who provided his technical expertise to the community in the development of the Town Centre Plan, will again be supporting the community for the-7 Day Makeover of public places in Marton.

The 7 Day Makeover will kick-off with two days, Monday and Tuesday, February 8 and 9 at the Marton Youth Club. During these two days participants will (led by David Engwicht) learn the secrets of creating great spaces and develop a plan of projects to be completed during the 7 Day Makeover. Also on Tuesday night, February 9 with a 7pm start, there will be a planning night at the Youth Club where you will hear about the proposed makeover plan, contribute your ideas and be invited to lead or join a Makeover Team. The rest of the week will be spent completing the projects!
