Pre-election Report
July 28, 2016

Section 99A of the Local Government Act requires the Chief Executive of each local authority to prepare a pre-election report, to include specified information about finances (cash flow, rates, borrowing and investments) and major projects. This information is taken from the 2015/25 Long Term Plan, the 2016/17 Annual Plan and previous Annual Reports. The Government’s intention in making this requirement is to provide information to promote public discussion about the issues facing each local authority.
Printed copies are available in the libraries and at the candidate briefing sessions on 4 August.
