January 18, 2017
Early in the morning of Wednesday 18 January 2017 a significant slip occurred in the Rangitikei River south of Mangaweka. Horizons Regional Council have advised there is no current concern for public safety. The river has already cut a 10 metre wide path to allow water through, and Horizons will continue to monitor the situation. People downstream of the site are asked to be aware of changes to the flow and clarity of the river over the next few days. See below for further information.
