Changes to Parking Restrictions – Marton and Bulls
February 13, 2018
Note: This Public Notice is out of date, and is retained for archival purposes only.
In late 2017, Council adopted the Traffic and Parking Bylaw (2017). The parking related provisions came into force on 6 November 2017, with current parking restrictions becoming applicable from this date.
Given the parking restrictions throughout the District were likely to have been in place for a significant period of time, Council requested the community committees/boards consider whether the parking restrictions (or lack of restrictions) are still appropriate or require amendment.
Following recommendations from the community committees/boards Council approved the following changes at their 25 January 2018 meeting:
- The extension of the 10 minute parking restriction to 108 High Street, Bulls to include a drop off area for All About Children Childcare.
- The removal of the P15 sign next to the corner of High Street and Wellington Road, Marton.
- The removal of the P5 sign outside the former Palm Dairy on Wellington Road, Marton.
- The addition of an accessibility park near the Council building at 46 High Street, Marton.
In accordance with section 8 of the Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2017 these changes will come into force on 1 March 2018.
