Parks Assistant Vacancy

Do you want an opportunity to step into a newly created role, and make it your own? Rangitīkei District is the place to achieve that. A Parks Assistant position has become available within the Parks & Reserves Team.
We are looking for an experienced parks assistant who will be responsible for continuously improving the delivery of maintenance of the Districts parks, reserves, and cemeteries.
What you will bring to the position:
- Level 4 Certificate in either Horticulture, Arboriculture or sports turf maintenance
- Growsafe (either TC or STMS)
- New Zealand Drivers Licence Class 2
- Working and operational knowledge of plant machinery and equipment necessary to fulfil the overall purpose of the role
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently and to set and meet appropriate standards and deadlines
- A strong team player with proven ability to work well with and interact successfully with other people
This position will report directly to the Parks & Reserves Co-ordinator and is based within the Rangitikei District.
