Mangapapa River Slip

Rangitīkei District Council is aware of a slip blocking Mangapapa River upstream of where it meets the Turakina River. Horizons Regional Council is monitoring the situation, and there is no immediate risk to homes or infrastructure.

Jane Dunn has resigned from her role on the Rangitīkei District Council.

Jane had been a Councillor since 2016 and represented the Southern Ward of the Rangitīkei District. A by-election will be held for this position, nominations will be called for in late November, voting documents will be sent out in January and voting will close on 17 February.
