She succeeds her father, Kiingi Tūheitia, to become the eighth Māori Monarch (and only the second Queen).
E te papa o Rotu, ka tō he rā, ka rere he rā, nō reira, mau tonu koe te kawakawa a ou tūpuna, hei tumu mō tātou katoa.
Yesterday has gone, tomorrow is a new day. Hold to the taonga of our ancestors and be a mooring place for us all.
