The final election results were declared today. Voter turnout for the 2019 elections was 46.79%. This was a slight decrease on the 2016 elections, which was 47.86%.

Road Closures/Damage - Northern Turakina Valley (TV3) and Watershed Roads

Proposed Amendment to the Stock Droving and Grazing Bylaw 2013

Under the current Bylaw there is no provision restricting grazing on a road reserve directly adjacent to a property without the written permission of either the owner of the property adjacent to the road reserve which is proposed for grazing or an authorised owner of the Council. This proposed amendment address this issue.

Draft Proposed District Plan Change – rural to industrial – invitation for feedback

Because of the shortage of vacant industrial land in the Marton area, Council is proposing to rezone an area south of Marton, from rural to industrial. The area has boundaries to Wings Line, State
