Speed Limit Bylaw Amendment for Dixon Way

This Bylaw will come into force from 25 August 2018. The amendment reduces the speed limit from 100km/h to 50km/h.

Proposed Dixon Way Speed Limit Change

Council is proposing to change the speed limit from 100km/h to 50km/h along Dixon Way and the short sections of Otaihape Valley Road and Mangaone Valley Roads which link Dixon Way with SH1
Representation Review – Pre-Consultation - Closed

Bulls Water Safe to Drink

Changes to Parking Restrictions – Marton and Bulls

In late 2017, Council adopted the Traffic and Parking Bylaw (2017). The parking related provisions came into force on 6 November 2017, with current parking restrictions becoming applicable from this date.

Commercial Section for Sale – Bulls

Rangitikei District Council (RDC) seeks Expressions of Interest for the purchase of vacant land situated in the Commercial Zone at Criterion Street Bulls. The land is located to the rear of the Bulls Medical Centre. Re-survey is under action to confirm boundaries, a separate title will be obtained for settlement of the sale and purchase.
Bulls Residents Water Restrictions Lifted

Update 8.45am, Tuesday, 12 December - Final Update on Bulls Burst Water Main -The levels at the reservoir recovered well overnight so all water restrictions are now lifted. Thanks again for your co-operation.
Earthquake-Prone Buildings

The system for identifying and managing earthquake-prone buildings changed on 1 July 2017. Under the new system Council was required to consult with the community on areas where the strengthening of earthquake-prone buildings should occur faster (in half the time) due to their location in areas where there are high numbers of people or traffic – ‘priority areas’.
Adoption of Section 16 Use of Heavy Vehicles – Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2017

The Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2017 was created to address persistent roading and traffic related issues. Section 16 relates to the use of heavy vehicles and is ensure the roading network is protected from damage caused by heavy vehicles which puts other road users at risk.
