Watermain Renewal and Full Road Reconstuction - Wanganui Road Marton

Rangitikei District Council has commenced a major project in Wanganui Road. This project will involve the installation of a new watermain in the berm, new water laterals to all houses (both sides of the road) and a full road reconstruction.

Flushing Continues on Marton’s Water Supply

Chlorine levels have been increased to meet the new standards for drinking water, and this has caused some of the normal build-up on the inside of the water pipes to be dislodged. While the water may look murky it is completely safe to drink.
Roadside Mowing Programme Back on Track

Council’s roading contractor, Higgins, is behind schedule with the roadside mowing programme in Rangitikei’s rural areas. Ross McNeil, District Council Chief Executive, apologises for this and assures residents and the public that roadsides should start looking more respectable as Higgins catches up on this work.
